A Flight That Ended in Tragedy

What should have been a routine domestic flight turned into one of Brazil’s deadliest aviation disasters in nearly 20 years. On the morning of August 9, 2024, Voepass Flight 2283 departed from Cascavel, Paraná, destined for Guarulhos, São Paulo. The aircraft carried 58 passengers, ranging from families to business travelers, along with 4 crew members.
The flight, scheduled to last just 1 hour and 45 minutes, seemed ordinary at first. Passengers settled in, conversations and the quiet hum of the engines filling the cabin. No one could have imagined that what began as a routine journey would end in catastrophe. By the time the plane should have been preparing to land, tragedy struck, leaving no survivors and casting a shadow of grief over the nation.
