Trump’s health may prevent him from finishing term, advisor claims

The White House physician concurs with the president’s statement that he is in “excellent health.”

However, a well-known Republican advisor is voicing concerns behind the scenes, saying Donald Trump might be exhibiting mental health issues severe enough to prevent him from serving out another term.

Do you recall all the excitement surrounding Donald Trump’s highly publicized medical examination in April?

Trump exhibits “robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function,” according to Dr. Sean Barbabella, who also notes that “his active lifestyle continues to contribute significantly to his well-being.”

A neurological screening that examined Trump’s reflexes, motor skills, sensory responses, mental state, and even mood indicators like anxiety and depression was part of the examination, which involved 14 specialists.

Trump, who is 78 years old, is still the oldest person to be sworn in as president. He also abstains from alcohol and tobacco, unlike many politicians. He is 6’3″ and weighs slightly over 220 pounds, according to the report, which indicates that he has lost roughly 25 pounds since his previous term in office. The Associated Press reports that his cholesterol has also decreased.

Doctors say there is nothing to be concerned about, aside from some minor sun damage and scarring on his right ear, which serves as a reminder of the assassination attempt during his July 2024 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Americans are being urged to listen carefully
However, according to Rick Wilson, a co-founder of the Lincoln Project, there are many reasons for concern. Wilson expressed grave concerns about Donald Trump’s health in an exclusive interview with Times Radio, citing recent actions that he believes may indicate cognitive decline.

He is now calling on Americans to listen more carefully.

Wilson said, “He is not coherent,” to Times Radio. “His incapacity to express any idea or viewpoint without frequent digressions, frequent errors, and the verbal aphasias he experiences at different times.”

Since 2015, Wilson has kept a close eye on Trump and thinks the former president is clearly deteriorating.

He went on, “I can assure you that the man you are witnessing today is neither the Trump of 2015 nor the Trump of 2020.” “He isn’t even the 2024 Trump.”

What about the possibility that Trump will serve out another term? Wilson didn’t mince words:

“It remains to be seen if he survives the four years.”

Wilson is unconvinced, pointing out that test results don’t always accurately represent what’s happening in a person’s daily behavior, even though recent medical reports have cleared Trump both mentally and physically.

“A huge number of experts worldwide are observing the same set of behaviors and stating, ‘This is what we see in early dementia cases.’” When there is a cognitive decline, we observe this.

posed inquiries
Wilson also emphasized that a person’s age-related problems do not go away just because they pass a cognitive test:

He claimed that the 78-year-old president might still be succumbing to “the ravages of age and ill health.”

While some critics may have been placated by Trump’s health report released in April 2025, others, like Rick Wilson, felt that it left more questions than it answered.

That sentiment was echoed by veteran journalist Timothy L. O’Brien when he appeared on MSNBC’s The Weekend: Primetime. He disclosed that the idea of Trump going through the same cognitive decline as his father, Fred Trump, in his later years deeply “haunts” him.

O’Brien, who has also been a Trump supporter for decades, claimed that the former president’s recent thoughts about running for a third term are more than just political rhetoric.

Trump may have aspirations of holding onto power indefinitely, but “I don’t think he’ll actually pursue another term,” he said, adding that his motivations are “either self-aggrandizement or self-preservation.”

The change
Trump’s usual approach to medical disclosures changed with his April health report. His health updates during the 2016 and 2020 campaigns were succinct and ambiguous, frequently given as uplifting one-liners with minimal context. This time, however, the release was much more targeted—and possibly calculated.

A complete medical report had been demanded of Trump during the 2024 election cycle. Instead, he relied on previous letters from his doctors, including Dr. Ronny Jackson, who treated him after the 2023 assassination attempt, despite his repeated promises to do so.

Trump was in “excellent” health as of September 2023, according to a note from Dr. Bruce Aronwald that was made public on November 20, 2023, the day President Biden turned 81. But it provided neither details nor test results.

Steven Cheung, the director of Trump’s campaign communications, defended the choice to withhold all information in October 2024:

In addition to comprehensive reports from Dr. Ronny Jackson, who treated him following the initial assassination attempt, President Trump has voluntarily made public updates from his personal physician. Everyone has determined that he is in perfect health to serve as Commander in Chief.

Cheung also made fun of Kamala Harris, Trump’s opponent at the time:

“Unlike any other politician in political history, he has kept up an incredibly active and busy campaign schedule, while Kamala Harris has struggled to meet the demands of campaigning.”

The campaign even circulated the findings of Trump’s first-term 2018 cognitive test, which Trump supporters often referred to when concerns about mental acuity surfaced.

However, no other cognitive test results were released between 2018 and 2025. Despite serving under both Obama and Trump, Dr. Jackson continued to be one of Trump’s most outspoken defenders of his health.

The question is whether the test provides the whole picture, not if Trump can pass it. Furthermore, Wilson believes that the public is witnessing the actual symptoms of decline.

By the time she finished, even her co-hosts were choking back tears. The camera lingered on Ginger’s face just long enough to capture the rawness in her eyes—and millions of Americans felt something they didn’t expect from morning TV: real loss.  A DECADE OF DEDICATION: FROM WEEKEND WEATHER TO NATIONAL TREASURE Ginger Zee wasn’t just the weather girl. She was the calm in the chaos—the woman who stood in hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and blizzards not for the glory, but for us. When the world seemed unsteady, Ginger was there in her signature boots, ready to tell the truth—rain or shine. Joining GMA Weekend in 2011, Ginger quickly became a household name. By December 2, 2013, she had officially taken the reins as ABC News Chief Meteorologist, replacing the iconic Sam Champion. That day, she didn’t just inherit a title—she earned the trust of an entire nation. In an Instagram post marking the milestone, Ginger shared a video of Sam unofficially handing over the baton—er, rain boots. “It’s been a ride beyond my wildest dreams,” she wrote, adding, “The gratitude is oozing out of me today.”  GOODBYE OR SOMETHING MORE? While her farewell was framed as a celebration of growth, some fans are asking the hard questions: Why now? Why so suddenly? After all, Ginger had just been promoted in 2021 to Managing Climate Editor, a groundbreaking role that allowed her to build ABC’s first dedicated climate reporting team. She was thriving. So what changed? Some insiders whisper about network shifts, internal tensions, or even emotional burnout after years on the frontlines of Earth’s most terrifying disasters. Others believe she may be preparing for something even bigger—politics, advocacy, or a raw, tell-all memoir that finally reveals the cost of being America’s weather shield. Whatever the reason, this goodbye feels… unfinished.  SOCIAL MEDIA MELTDOWN: “I’M SOBBING IN MY KITCHEN” As the clip of Ginger’s final moment aired, social media exploded. “I’m crying in my kitchen. Ginger, you’ve been part of my mornings for a decade,” wrote one fan. “She stood in 120 mph winds for us—what did we ever do to deserve her?” another posted. Celebrities, co-anchors, former colleagues, and strangers flooded the internet with tributes, heartbreak, and what felt like collective grief. Even her GMA colleagues couldn’t hide their pain. Gio Benitez wrote: “So proud of you and honored to have been a part of your journey!!! Thank you for being a trailblazer!!” Peloton’s Cody Rigsby kept it simple: “She’s an icon.” But beneath the surface of celebration, one question kept bubbling up: What aren’t they telling us?  BEYOND THE STUDIO: GINGER’S REAL LIFE IN THE SPOTLIGH Away from the cameras, Ginger has crafted a storybook life with husband Ben Aaron and their two sons, Adrian and Miles. Her social media is a blend of climate data, behind-the-scenes chaos, and sun-drenched family trips to apple orchards and national parks. Yet even here, there’s something different lately. Fewer forecasts. More family. A noticeable pull toward something quieter… more personal. Is Ginger stepping away from the spotlight to reclaim herself? Or is she gearing up to bring her voice to an even louder, more meaningful platform?  MORE THAN WEATHER: THE CLIMATE CRUSADER WHO DARED TO TELL THE TRUTH In recent years, Ginger evolved from weather forecaster to climate activist—fearlessly calling out misinformation, demanding corporate accountability, and standing in flooded neighborhoods to explain what “1.5°C of warming” really means for American families. She refused to sugarcoat the facts, even when it ruffled feathers. And that courage made her a rare breed on daytime television: a truth-teller who never stopped caring. When she launched ABC’s climate unit in 2021, many expected a watered-down PR move. Instead, Ginger turned it into one of the most hard-hitting, science-based segments in network history. “Standing in the only Cat 5… starting the climate unit… these are the moments I’ll never forget,” she said in a recent post.  THE FAREWELL THAT FEELS TOO FINAL While ABC News and GMA painted her exit as a career shift—a natural next step—fans aren’t buying the polite narrative. It felt like an ending. A real goodbye. The kind that leaves you wondering if you’ll ever feel the same about morning television again. No scandal. No big reveal. Just a woman who gave everything she had… and maybe, finally, ran out of space to breathe.  WHAT NOW? THE LEGACY SHE LEAVES BEHIND So what comes next for Ginger Zee? Nobody knows. But whatever she chooses, her legacy is already sealed. She made weather human.She made science accessible.She made us all feel a little safer, knowing she was out there in the storm, guiding us home. Her exit isn’t just a loss for Good Morning America—it’s a loss for American mornings, period. AND YOU—HOW WILL YOU REMEMBER HER? Will you remember the woman in the hurricane, clutching a mic against the roar of the wind? Will you remember the gentle laugh on a Monday morning that made you forget, for a moment, how cruel the world can be? Or will you remember her final words—the quiet, trembling goodbye of a woman who gave the world everything she had… and walked away with grace?…
