Keith Urban Opens Up About Feeling Lonely While on Tour

Keith Urban recently pulled back the curtain on the hidden struggles of touring during the premiere of his new CBS series, The Road. Though fans often imagine tour life as glamorous and exhilarating, Urban described something very different — a world that can be “completely lonely and miserable.”
He recalled one vivid memory: waking up at 3:30 a.m. on a tour bus, “sick as a dog,” parked in the middle of nowhere, with a fifth consecutive show scheduled that evening. He had barely slept, his body ached, and the exhaustion felt endless. Yet, even in those moments, Urban acknowledged the truth that has guided him since the beginning: “Because this is what I’m born to do.”
Behind his candor was a deeper context. Urban and Nicole Kidman separated after 19 years of marriage, with Kidman filing for divorce on September 30, 2025, citing irreconcilable differences. The two share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Urban did not directly link his comments about isolation to the split, but the timing — and the tone — did not go unnoticed.
