Husband and Wife, Clinton and Cristen Brink, Found Dead After Hiking with Their Two Daughters

A family hike turned tragic on Saturday, July 26, when Clinton David Brink, 43, and his wife Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, were murdered on a trail at Devil’s Den State Park in Arkansas. The couple was hiking with their daughters, ages 7 and 9, who were unharmed and are now with relatives.

Radio chatter captured the tense moments before the discovery, as officers swept trails and heard cries for help. One officer reported finding the bodies: “I’ve got two down here.” The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is leading the homicide case.

Authorities are searching for a white male suspect, medium build, last seen in dark clothes, sunglasses, and a ballcap. He carried a black backpack and fled in a black sedan with an obscured license plate. The attack occurred in a remote area without cellphone service, complicating the investigation.

State police urge visitors to check personal footage and not share evidence on social media. Officials, including Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, expressed condolences and pledged to find the killer. “Law enforcement will not rest,” she said. The investigation remains ongoing.
