Thank goodness the scare is over! Rylan Clark shares a health update on his mother Linda, 72, after she was rushed to hospital with a mystery condition
Rylan Clark has shared a heartfelt update on his mother Linda’s health after she was rushed to hospital with a mystery illness just days before her 73rd birthday.
The popular presenter, 36, had previously told fans he would be missing his BBC Radio 2 show due to the emergency. “Mummy Linda isn’t well sadly,” he posted on Friday night, thanking the emergency team at Princess Alexandra Hospital for their support.

By Saturday morning, the tone shifted to hopeful as Rylan revealed: “Antibiotics have worked. Letting her home on orals. So she’s home for her bday.”
The TV star, known for his wit, added humorously: “She’s now worried about wheelie bins going out again.”
Linda, beloved by fans for her dry humour and warmth on Celebrity Gogglebox, has long battled Crohn’s disease – a chronic condition she’s lived with since her 30s. Rylan has spoken openly about how the illness has impacted both their lives, sharing that it once cost Linda her job and even affected his childhood.

This latest hospitalisation sparked worry among fans, especially following her 2023 emergency surgery after a serious fall in Marbella. She was airlifted back home on a private plane at the time.
Despite these health setbacks, Linda’s resilience continues to inspire. Rylan previously praised her for fighting through sepsis in 2018 and enduring a six-week hospital stay in 2017 due to Crohn’s complications.

As she returns home just in time to celebrate her 73rd birthday, Rylan’s emotional message and cheeky humour have once again reminded fans of the unbreakable bond between the mother-son duo.
