Faith, Family, and the Mission That Never Ends
For Harris Faulkner, patriotism and faith aren’t separate — they’re the same foundation that holds her steady through every broadcast, every challenge, every day.
“You go in because you’ve been tasked as a soldier,” she said of her father’s service. “There’s no political game in that. We owe them a huge debt.”
During her Vietnam journey, she met veterans from both sides of the war — once enemies, now friends — working together to treat victims of Agent Orange. “That’s the power of time, grace, and purpose,” she said.
At home, her own sense of purpose begins with prayer. “My divine assignment is to be a witness,” Faulkner explained. “That also means I tell the truth, even when it’s hard.”
Her 2022 book, Faith Still Moves Mountains, tells real-life miracle stories — proof, she says, that faith can turn fear into peace. “You pray before the storm, during the storm, and after the storm.”
Even as a busy anchor and author, she never forgets her role as a mother. Her advice to parents? “Listen to your children. Make eye contact. Let them finish before you fix anything. The greatest gift we can give our children is sustainability.”
Today, her daughters, Bella and Danika, are growing into young women shaped by the same strength and kindness that defined Harris’s own parents. Her father’s memory lives on through a hand-carved flag. Her mother’s lessons on compassion and diplomacy still guide her heart.
“Home,” Harris says, “should feel like the place where you end your day and feel seen.”
Through every headline and hardship, Harris Faulkner remains what she’s always been — a soldier’s daughter, grounded in faith, carrying the mission forward.
