Tragic Loss After a Cosmetic Procedure Abroad
The New York Police Department is mourning the sudden death of Detective Alicia Stone, a 13-year veteran and mother of three, who passed away just one week after undergoing cosmetic surgery in Colombia.
According to the New York Post, Stone had traveled to Cali for a Brazilian butt lift and liposuction procedure. The 37-year-old officer, part of the NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau, was discovered unresponsive in her hotel room around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, and was rushed to Fundación Valle del Lili Hospital. Tragically, she was pronounced dead less than an hour after arrival.
Her cause of death is currently listed as “unspecified cardiac arrest.” However, her husband, Michael Stone, has raised questions about what truly happened. “The doctor called and told me my wife had just passed away,” he told The Daily News. “She couldn’t explain anything. Something doesn’t add up.”
