The Little Girl Who Came to My Door Every Day

It started as a small mystery.
Almost every day at noon, the same little girl appeared on my doorstep — neat, sweet, and holding a tiny teddy bear. She would stand there quietly, staring into my doorbell camera as if waiting for someone to answer.

Most days, I wasn’t home. But when I checked the recordings, the same scene repeated: she rang the bell, waited a minute, then ran off around the corner. No car. No adults. Just that small figure vanishing down the street.

At first, I brushed it off. But after several days, curiosity turned into worry. Why was she wandering alone? Where were her parents? The thought that something might be wrong started to gnaw at me.

One evening, I gathered the footage and went to the police. They agreed to look into it — and soon managed to contact the girl’s family. The next day, her mother arrived at my door with an officer. I didn’t know what to expect.
