Last month, 29-year-old Stella Banderas, the daughter of Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith, finally married her longtime friend Alex Gruszynski — and only now have the true scale and details of the celebration become known. The couple said “I do” at a 12th-century Spanish estate surrounded by vineyards, and among the two hundred invited guests were Melanie’s other children — Dakota Johnson and Alexander Bauer — as well as the Obama sisters, Malia and Sasha.

Antonio Banderas, now 65, walked his daughter down the aisle and later admitted he could barely hold back his emotions. He left the celebration with tears in his eyes, calling the moment “something impossible to experience calmly.” The bride stunned everyone with her extraordinary gown: an airy creation of lace and chiffon, designed together with Rodarte over nearly a year, blending gothic elements, romance, and Spanish tradition.

After exchanging vows, the celebration moved to the estate’s chapel, where Stella appeared in a second look — a light silk dress by Jane Booke. Melanie Griffith later shared photos on social media, calling the wedding “one of the kindest and most touching events in their family.”

Stella and Alex’s story goes back to childhood: they had known each other for years, though romance only blossomed much later. Today, Stella is experimenting with directing and acting, and a few years ago she even launched her own fragrance brand, which she later closed to focus on creative projects. She was born during Banderas and Griffith’s marriage — a union that lasted from 1996 to 2015 — and Melanie had previous marriages to Steven Bauer and twice to Don Johnson, from whom Alexander and Dakota Johnson were born.
