Brothers in Life — and in Their Final Moments

When rescuers found Tavayne and D’andre, they discovered something that broke hearts and comforted many at once — the boys were holding onto each other.

Their family later shared on a GoFundMe page that the brothers had shown “incredible courage and loyalty, holding on to each other until the very end, demonstrating the deep bond they shared.”

The post described their relationship as one built on love and unity:

“They always considered each other brothers, and when their parents, Kerryan and Morris, got married last year, it made their brother bond official.”

Growing up together in Jamaica, Tavayne and D’andre were inseparable — playing basketball, riding bikes, gaming, and sharing the easy laughter of brotherhood. When their family moved to Maine, they carried that same closeness with them.

Though their lives were cut tragically short, their story has touched many — a reminder of love’s strength even in life’s most heartbreaking moments.

Rest in peace, Tavayne and D’andre — brothers forever.
