Retired Detectives Warn of Disturbing Pattern — “Something Is Afoot”

While city officials dismiss the serial killer theory, retired law enforcement experts are raising red flags.

Former NYPD Sergeant Joseph Giacalone, now a criminal justice professor at Penn State, says the situation deserves deeper scrutiny.

“A coincidence? Unlikely,” Giacalone told Fox News. “A careful inspection of each case is warranted, especially the 48 hours before their deaths.”

Another former NYPD officer, Kevin Gannon, believes the pattern mirrors the “Smiley Face Killings” — a decades-long mystery involving young men found dead in bodies of water across the U.S.

“We’ve never seen drowning numbers like this before — especially with one every other day in the same area,” Gannon warned.

Even forensic psychiatrist Dr. Carole Lieberman believes the authorities’ denial may be premature.

“They don’t want the public to panic,” she said, “so they’re making light of what could be serial murders.”

Despite these chilling warnings, officials maintain there is no evidence of foul play in most of the cases. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences reports no clear links between the victims, though locals remain unconvinced.

With sixteen lives lost and unanswered questions piling up, Houston residents are left to wonder — is this truly a tragic coincidence, or the work of something far darker?
