Britain’s Got Talent Contestant Has Died At Age 18

When we see a contestant on one of the talent shows, such as Britain’s Got Talent, we often feel as if we know them personally. That is why many are now mourning, as a star from the show has passed away at the age of 18.

Órán McConville appeared on BGT in 2017 in the ITV competition. He was part of the school choir who participated and he was both a singer and a talented footballer. It was the year that Toki Myers won the show, but the choir reached the semi-finals.

McConville was with the rest of the choir from St. Patrick’s primary school to sing Kanye’s: ‘Somewhere Only We Know.’ Even Simon Cowell was impressed at the audition.

Many people who have heard about his death are now going to social media to express their sorrow and give their condolences.

It was only six weeks ago that McConville’s father, Paddy passed away. The youth then died as a result of a car accident.

Órán McConville was reportedly in the front seat of a gray Volkswagen Golf when it got in a collision early in the morning on April 5. He was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver was arrested.

The local priest described him as a ‘natural performer’ and said that he ‘got away with more mischief than most’. The priest went on to say: “With a smile like his, who could be cross for long?

“At this time, we are all lost for words. Words are woefully inadequate to express the pain and the sorrow in our hearts that we have for you.”

He was described as being ‘kind, gentle, full of humor, always up for a chat’ by the Athletics club where he played and later coached.

His older sister was killed in 2009 after being hit by a Volkswagen people carrier. The priest who was with the lad when his sister died at the hospital said that the local area was traumatized by the incident.

He said: “Rachael was a happy child. She was intelligent and talented. She loved her family and her friends, and she had tremendous potential.

“She was living life and enjoying it to the full. Her death has traumatized our close-knit, country parish; it has numbed everyone.”

The mother of the children wrote a book about her daughter’s death, calling it ‘My Beautiful Daughter, My Beautiful Friend.’ It spoke about the grief that the family felt after her loss.
