“After a Shocking Diagnosis, Coleen Nolan Reveals Her ‘Insane’ Health Struggle That Left Fans Deeply Concerned

Coleen Nolan has opened up about her “insane” and unexpected health struggle after receiving a surprising diagnosis that left her — and her fans — stunned.

During Tuesday’s (February 25) episode of Loose Women, the beloved TV star revealed she had been battling a painful rash that appeared out of nowhere late last year.

“My skin has gone insane… I got a terrible rash all around my middle, it went up my shoulders. It was so sore and so itchy. I’m thinking, ‘What is this?’” Coleen recalled emotionally. “Then obviously when Linda passed, I went to the dermatologist and he’s like, ‘Yeah, it’s eczema.’”

The diagnosis came as a complete shock to the singer, who admitted she had never dealt with eczema before.Coleen Nolan opens up on sister's cancer as she prepares to strip for The Real Full Monty | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV | Express.co.uk

“I was like, ‘I’ve never had eczema in my life!’” she confessed, adding that her dermatologist explained stress could have been a major trigger.

The news follows what has been an incredibly difficult few months for Coleen. The Loose Women star split from her partner of three years in December, before tragically losing her beloved sister, Linda Nolan, to breast cancer in January.

It’s not the first time Coleen has faced a serious health scare. In 2023, she shared her skin cancer diagnosis, telling viewers about the moment her doctor broke the news.

“[They said] it’s actually a cancer that doesn’t necessarily spread, but you do need to treat it. We’ll try it with cream, then chemo cream, and if that doesn’t work, we’ll cut it out and give you a skin graft,” she explained on the show.

Coleen later reassured fans on Instagram that the situation was under control, writing: Loose Women's Coleen Nolan shares emotional message for sister amid family heartache | HELLO!

“Nothing major — it’s pre-cancerous and I need to treat it, but at the moment, it’s fine.”

But her battle didn’t end there. The following year, she noticed another patch of dry skin — and once again, it required treatment.

“I had carcinoma on my shoulder which has now gone. I used chemo cream to burn that off,” she told The Sun, adding that she would soon begin treatment on another area.

Despite everything, Coleen continues to appear on Loose Women with her trademark honesty and courage, showing fans that even in her most vulnerable moments, she remains open and real.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
