🤔 🤔 Everyone on the internet tried to solve this mystery together, but no one could figure out what it was. I have no idea what it is, and apparently, neither do half of the people 🤔.
Imagine facing an old, coiled object in your grandmother’s garden, asking yourself: “What is this?” Well, you’re not alone, because, believe it or not, everyone tried to figure out what it was without success. And guess what? It’s an old cast iron well pump.
The pump in question is a cast iron model made by the John Pritzlaff Hardware Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and stands about 1.5 meters tall.
To explain it simply, imagine a time without modern faucets or high-tech devices to draw water. Picture a rustic, coiled pump in a corner of the garden, patiently waiting to be used. This is the well pump we’re talking about here.
So, how does this old pump work? It’s a solid cast iron pump, a material our ancestors used to create durable items. The pump has a handle that you must pump up and down. When you do, it draws water from a deep well underground.
In the past, when electricity was still a distant dream, this pump was essential for getting water. It was like having a genie coming out of the ground, ready to offer you water to quench your thirst, water your crops, or even fill a tub for a good old-fashioned bath.
