Reba McEntire and Rex Linn’s Love Story — From Co-Stars to Soulmates

Country music legend Reba McEntire and actor Rex Linn have officially confirmed their engagement — a love story more than three decades in the making. The happy news came during the 2025 Emmys, when red carpet host Zuri Hall referred to Rex as Reba’s fiancé. The couple smiled, their joy undeniable, as Reba replied, “We’re having a blast on Happy’s Place and so glad to be here tonight.”
Their connection goes all the way back to 1991, when they first met while filming The Gambler. Though they remained friends for years, it wasn’t until 2020 — while working together again on Young Sheldon — that their friendship turned into something deeper.
“We instantly bonded over living in Oklahoma and our love for horses and acting,” Reba shared. “He made me laugh, and we became good buddies.”
By 2024, fans were already speculating about wedding bells after Reba hinted she’d be open to marriage if Rex wanted it. “If that’s something he feels strongly about, that’s fine with me,” she said at the time. “He’s never been married before, so if he wants to experience that, I’m OK with that.”
Now, the couple not only share life off-screen but also star together on NBC’s hit sitcom Happy’s Place — where their characters might soon reflect their real-life romance.
