BREAKING: Former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle has officially taken on the role of U.S. Ambassador to Greece

Former Fox News host and California prosecutor Kimberly Guilfoyle has officially entered the world of diplomacy, taking up her post as U.S. Ambassador to Greece — a move that’s already generating buzz across Washington. Known for her fiery television presence and deep ties to the Trump family, Guilfoyle is now stepping into one of the most geopolitically significant roles in Europe.
At 56, Guilfoyle brings a background that blends law, media, and politics. She was sworn in as ambassador on September 29 in Washington, D.C., and presented her credentials to Greek President Constantine Tassoulas in Athens earlier this week. Dressed in a crisp navy suit, she vowed to “strengthen the friendship, economic partnership, and strategic alliance” between the United States and Greece — becoming the first woman to ever hold this position.
Her appointment comes at a pivotal moment in U.S.–Greek relations. Greece has become a crucial ally in the Eastern Mediterranean, as the United States seeks to expand its influence amid rising tensions with Russia and China. Washington’s ongoing efforts to boost liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports through Greek ports — part of a broader strategy to reduce Europe’s energy dependence on Russia — are central to the partnership.
Guilfoyle’s arrival coincides with high-level meetings in Athens involving U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, focused on expanding a multinational pipeline network that could also support Ukraine’s energy needs.
According to insiders, Guilfoyle is expected to play a major role in these talks. “She’s a loyal ally with sharp instincts,” said one Washington source. “Her communication skills and political reach make her an asset in balancing diplomacy with messaging.”
