The Legacy and Final Days of the Spaceman
Fellow Musicians React
Tributes continued to pour in from the wider music community.
Bruce Kulick, who played with KISS during their unmasked era, called Frehley “one of a kind and truly iconic.”
Steve Vai praised him as “the embodiment of rock ’n’ roll attitude — unapologetic, loud, and irresistibly catchy.”
Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine remembered him as “my first guitar hero,” citing his stage theatrics and signature smoking Les Paul as unforgettable inspirations.
Blackie Lawless of W.A.S.P. described Frehley as “both a brother and a mentor,” sharing heartfelt memories from their early days chasing the dream together.

Final Moments and Family Farewell
According to Frehley’s family, he suffered a fall at home that caused a brain bleed, leading to hospitalization and several days on life support. Despite every effort, he passed away peacefully on October 16, surrounded by loved ones.
Only a week earlier, he had canceled the rest of his 2025 tour due to health issues, assuring fans he was still working on his next album, Origins Vol. 3.
A Legacy That Lives Forever
From the moment he stepped onstage in silver makeup and platform boots, Ace Frehley changed the sound — and the look — of rock music forever.
His “Spaceman” persona, explosive solos, and interstellar energy inspired countless musicians and helped make KISS one of the most iconic bands in history.
Even in death, his legacy remains untouchable — a shining star in the galaxy of rock ’n’ roll.
